Hometown on the Cloud, a Lijiang ethnic-featured film, was screened at the 26th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sept 15.

The film, shot and produced in Lijiang, tells about a long neglected Naxi village in the northern part of Yunnan province whose tranquility is threatened from social development and the collision of multiple cultures. The fusion of local culture and exotic ideas brings the remote village contradictions between traditional concepts of older generations and the youth of the village.
