Yulong Snow Mountain ensures good service for Spring Festival

The Yulong Snow Mountain scenic spot, the hottest attraction of Lijiang, in Southwest China's Yunnan province, strengthened management of the local tourist market over the Golden Week of the Chinese New Year from Feb 14 to Feb 21.

Yulong Snow Mountain saw a record 25,248 tourists visit the area on Feb 19, as well as 4,800 vehicles, and tourist numbers also reached the spot's optimum capacity for the following two days.

With a length of 35km from north to south, Yulong Snow Mountain is the biggest alpine attraction in the northern hemisphere.

In recent years, the scenic spot has deepened its construction of local infrastructure and paid attention to detail, even installing seven tourist public toilets and three smart toilets.

Lijiang welcomed 810,700 visitors over Golden Week, up 37.5 percent from the same period last year. Its tourism sector pocketed 929 million yuan ($146.6 million) during the holiday, a year-on-year increase of 43.39 percent. Both the tourist numbers and revenue were record highs.
