Lijiang prepared for upcoming Spring Festival

As Spring Festival approaches, the Old Town of Lijiang in Southwest China's Yunnan province has decided to hold a series of enriching cultural activities to welcome the important holiday.

From Jan 30 to Feb 1, the Protection Administration of the Old Town of Lijiang held the 2019 Spring Festival couplet-presenting activity in Yuhe Square. They invited 35 Naxi Dongba and calligraphy enthusiasts to write Spring Festival couplets for locals and tourists.

This year's Lijiang Spring Festival Flower Exhibition is being held from Jan 25 to Feb 25, displaying more than 50,000 pots of seasonal flowers, including wild daffodils, violets and primroses, as well as more than 3,500 potted bonsais such as camellia, azalea and jellyfish.

A lot of cultural performances are also held in the town during the Spring Festival to delight visitors from home and abroad.
