Lijiang airport opens international freight station

The launching ceremony for its international freight station was held at Lijiang Sanyi International Airport on March 29, making it the second international airport in Yunnan province to open international air cargo services.

The international freight station can provide services for enterprises involved in import and export trade, customs declaration and inspection, and air cargo transportation.

It will speed up the import and export business in Lijiang, as well as improve the level of trade facilitation, promoting the transformation of Lijiang's foreign trade to processing and service trade in Lijiang.

Since its opening, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport has opened seven regional and international routes from Lijiang to Hong Kong, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.

As of Feb 28, 2019, the number of entry-exit personnel at the airport reached 329,631.

To date, the airport has become the second largest international airport in Yunnan province after Kunming Changshui International Airport.
