Lijiang airport handles passenger throughput of 2.34m

From January to April, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport received a total of 2.34 million passengers, according to a Lijiang air travel market promotional activity that was held in Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province on May 15.

In 2019, the airport has newly opened seven routes from Lijiang to Quanzhou, Huizhou, and Zhangjiajie, as well as resumed routes from Lijiang to Tengchong, Wenzhou, Hangzhou, and Nanjing.

To date, there have been 34 airlines operating in Lijiang, connecting it to 74 cities.

Cities such as Changchun, Urumqi, Qingdao, Changzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing will be newly added and restored destinations of the airport's this year.

In terms of international routes, Lijiang will continue to open routes to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, and Jakarta with the help of the government.

During the promotional activity, the airport also signed agreements with Yunnan Lucky Air, JC (Cambodia) International Airlines, and Shenzhen Airlines International Travel Service to seek cooperation on international routes and tourism development.
