Overseas Chinese boost Lijiang's economic development

The Lijiang branch of the first Belt and Road Overseas Chinese Community Forum opened on June 13, attracting more than 300 overseas Chinese businessmen from 45 countries and regions.

At present, there are 365 overseas Chinese and 29 overseas Chinese enterprises in Lijiang, promoting the economic development of the city.

He Xianghong, secretary of the leading Party members' group of Yunnan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, hopes that the event will improve the understanding of overseas Chinese regarding Lijiang and attract them to travel and invest in Lijiang.

During the opening ceremony, Lijiang signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yunnan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

The participants also inspected Yulong Snow Mountain and the Old Town of Lijiang, while also attending an investment and tourism promotion meeting.
