On March 20, B3 of POWERCHINA formally receives the Completion and Taking-over Certificate issued by the Employer, a royal family member of Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi UAE Novetel-Ibis Hotel, and a grand opening ceremony was staged.
The hotel is a 4-star one, the first hotel constructed by POWERCHINA outside China. The Owner of the Hotel is a member of royal family of Abu Dhabi. The contract amount is RMB 1 billion and the project consists of a building with 23 floors above ground and 518 rooms and corresponding facilities such as catering rooms, fitness houses, and entertaining rooms, and 4 floors of basements and over 400 parking spaces.
The construction work of the project started on November 1, 2013. During construction period of over 4 years, B3 overcame the adverse influence of global financial crisis, local torrid weather and strict requirements of the Engineer, and completed civil works, decoration, installation of electromechanical equipment and furniture. The Hotel was finally completed and open to the public and highly appraised by the Owner, Project Engineer and the Hotel Manager.
