The power station's dam has a normal water storage level of 210 meters, while the powerhouse comes equipped with four vertical shaft mix-flow turbine generators with a single capacity of 112.5 megawatts and has average annual power generation of 1.9 billion kilowatt hours.
The commissioning of No 2 unit will effectively increase the water energy utilization rate of the Konkoure River Basin.
It will alleviate electricity shortages in Guinea and play an important role in ensuring a safe and stable energy supply for the local grid.
Moving forwards, the POWERCHINA project department will continue to complete the installation and commissioning of the other two units, while ensuring novel coronavirus prevention and control and safe production, to lay the foundations for the project's early completion and handover.
