Li Yanming, Party committee standing member and vice general manager of POWERCHINA, recently attended the 11th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) held on Dec 2-3 in Macao.
Duing a keynote speech, Li said that the COVID-19 epidemic continued to spread around the world, having a major impact on the sustained growth of the global economy. He added that it had a serious impact on the development of international infrastructure.

He called on all sides to cooperate with more open and inclusive minds and to promote innovation in the fields of development concepts, institutional mechanisms, business models and engineering technology.
Li also called for a speeding up of moves to ensure the stability and sustainable development of the international infrastructure industry.
During the IIICF, Li met with ambassadors from Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gabon, Bangladesh and other countries and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and promoting key projects.
He also participated in the 6th China-Latin American and Caribbean Infrastructure Forum, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and held talks with the envoys of Latin American countries.

In addition, Li communicated with financial institutions, including China Development Bank and China-Africa Development Fund. He gave a briefing on POWERCHINA's strategic concept for its overseas operations and investment and reached consensus on the need to increase cooperation in the integrated development of investment, construction and operations.
The 11th IIICF was co-organized by the China International Contractors Association and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.
It attracted over 1,000 delegates from governments, businesses and academics from more than 40 countries and regions. The theme of this year's forum was Responding to Challenges and Promoting Global Infrastructure Development.
