With a total length of 204 kilometers, the road project spans Mungwi, Senga Hill and Mbala district in Zambia's Northern province. The construction work will be completed over a five-year period, including two years of design and construction and three years of road maintenance work.
The main construction phases include demolition along the road, surface cleaning and grain layer construction, floor tile paving, pipe and box culvert construction and public facility construction.
After its completion, the road project will significantly improve local travel conditions and increase local flood control capacity. It will also create employment opportunities, promote agricultural development and improve local economic conditions and livelihoods.
