Zhang Xinqi, deputy secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and mayor of Qingdao, recently met with Gylfi Sigfússon, president and CEO of EIMSKIP, the largest shipping company in Iceland.

Zhang gave a presentation about Qingdao city‘s development and also focused on projects in logistics distribution, pelagic fishery and ports. Qingdao cooperates with Iceland in the distribution and logistics of fishery products, and Zhang said that he hopes EIMSKIP will enhance its cooperation.

Sigfússon said that EIMSKIP aims to increase trade with Qingdao by cooperating in more fields.

EIMSKIP opened its Asia representative office in Qingdao in 2007, and the company cooperates with Qingdao port in refrigerated storage and physical distribution.
