At the 11th Sino-American Technology and Engineering Conference, in the cities of Wuhu and Hefei, Anhui province, May 16 - 19, a special new-energy vehicle event grabbed a lot of attention, and had the deputy head of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Xia Mingjiu, the provincial vice governor, Liu Li, on hand to address the event’s opening ceremony in Hefei, on May 18.

There were also six experts from China and America to speak about new energy vehicles and take questions from the audience, while Xia gave a summary of this conference’s results and said that he hopes this special event will provide some international intellectual support for the new energy vehicle industry in Anhui.

Afterwards, 10 foreign experts and 12 Chinese experts visited enterprises and discussed problems in new energy vehicle development in Anhui and gave some suggestions on how to promote technological R&D in this industry in Anhui.
