Sun Zhaohua, deputy administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), attended the opening ceremony of a forum on Sino-Japan expertise and technology cooperation on August 4.
Sun said that Chinese economy depends more on technological innovation instead of investment or export, and China needs to actively attract more foreign experts and talents. This forum is a great platform for China and Japan to communicate and learn more about each other. Sun spoke highly of Ningbo’s effort in foreign talents introduction work in recent years, and hoped that Ningbo would take the lead in this area in the Yangtze River Delta.
Before the opening ceremony, Sun met with the head of the department of overseas activities of the Institution of Professional Engineers in Japan and another 15 Japanese experts.
The forum was held by SAFEA, the Institution of Professional Engineers in Japan, and relevant government departments in Zhejiang. More than 300 people, including officials, businessmen and technicians from Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Anhui and Jiangsu, took part.
The forum is an important measure of cooperation between China and Japan. Japan sent 15 experts in automobile manufacturing technology and die-casting to the forum, and the two sides will cooperate in a series of projects.
What we do
SAFEA is responsible for certifying foreign experts to work in the Chinese mainland and organizing overseas training for Chinese technical and managerial professionals.
