The Xi'an Longqiao Cold Chain Logistics Park is expected to provide tens of thousand jobs for local residents and promote industries such as transportation and catering.
Financed by the Xi'an Longqiao Cold Chain Logistics Company, the park involves an area of 500 mu (33.33 hectares), and is set to include three cold storage warehouses divided into three parts - zone A for vegetables and fruits, zone B for aquatic products, zone Cfor meat - office buildings, public service facilities, a transaction center, distributing and loading area, vehicle dispatch center, a parking lot, and other infrastructure facilities.
The Xi'an Longqiao Cold Chain Logistics Company was founded in 2012, with a registered capital of 10 million yuan (about $1.62 million). The company is located in the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Center, and its operations focus on purchasing, storing, processing and selling agricultural products, and freight forwarding of foreign and domestic goods. The company's legal representative is Wang Kangxiong, who is also the chairman of Kangda Vegetable and Fruit Company. He holdsmany honorary titles, such as the "Communist Model of Growing Rich in Weinan City" and "Outstanding Youth of Shaanxi Province".
