Archeologists unearthed three ancient tombs on a construction site in Jinan, capital city of east China’s Shandong province on August 10. Dozens of precious articles were unearthed from the tombs of the Han and Song Dynasties including bronze mirrors, iron swords, porcelain bowls and copper coins.
During a recent excavation at a Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) tomb, archaeologists found several items, including Wuzhu coins (common currency in wide circulation during the Dynasty) one iron tripod, one pottery kitchen range and one bronze mirror.
Initial research has shown the excavated relics to be in good condition and of high archaeological value, experts said.
