Shandong’s first nuclear power equipment industrial park was unveiled in Haiyang on September 8.

Set between the Haiyang nuclear power plant and Haiyang port, the industrial park is designed to radiate an area of 53 square kilometers.

The industrial park has plans to develop a complete system integrated with nuclear industrial planning, research, manufacture, installation, detection and service support.

Priority will be given to the development of large-scale nuclear power-related equipment and their ancillary and support business.

According to city documents, output value of the nuclear power equipment manufacturing industry in Haiyang is expected to reach 20 billion yuan, which is designed to be generated from 10 key research bases, 10 large-scale trade centers and 20 key projects to be built in 2015.
