This year, Xintai City, Shandong province, raised three billion RMB to build a modern city with a harmonious development in Qingyun, Xinwen Districts and Chaiwen River. Based on the roads and rivers, industries and regions, through overall distribution and organized development, the municipal construction will switch from a low level to a new higher level. It realized three breakthroughs in higher, larger and better quality in municipal construction, making great efforts to build an ecologically friendly modern city.

High buildings and mansions built to make the city “higher”

Following the rules that advocate building higher buildings and sub-high buildings and builing multi-story buildings properly, putting emphasis on the construction of ten major projects such as New Century Building and Credit Building by trying to obtain funds from higher authorities, financial investment and accommodating social funds. By attracting investments and joint development, it pays great attention to the construction of building blocks such as Green City of Xintai with a height of 99 meters. By improving villages in the city, it develops 50 sub-high and high residential buildings. It works very hard to finish the construction of 30 high buildings, and construct more than 100 buildings by the end of 2010 to make the city achieve a new level of modernization.

The city to expand road network and enlarged urban districts

The city will speed up in constructing road network, putting emphasis on the following roads and bridges, East Outer Ring Road, Lvyou Road, Xindu Road, Xiangyang Road stretching to south, Huoliang Road to north and Qinglong Road to east, expanding the city in four directions. Implementing unified plans about the rivers and mountains around the city, it is planning to link the road network and rivers as soon as possible to build a modern city with a harmonious development in Qingyun, Xinwen Districts and Chaiwen River. Qingyun District boasts to be an east ecological leisure zone, north cultural tourist zone, south business residential zone and west high efficiency agricultural zone. Xinwen District, Xiaoxie and Dongdu towns are joining together to build a west industrial zone, south residential zone, east distribution zone and north business zone.

Transformation and selection to upgrade the city There is a tightened cooperation between Xintai and the Green City Group, trying to utilize the four square kilometers of land west to the Binhu Road to create a first-class business and residential zone, investing 160 million RMB to finish the construction of Qingyin Park and build the most attractive possible water park and comprehensive park, investing 240 million RMB to build the Huifenghechang theme plaza, city balconies and places to hold grand activities to show the landscape of Xintai, investing 0.5 billion RMB to finish the major projects such as Culture Center and Culture Square, further speeding up the construction of service facilities and infrastructures as water, electricity, heating and sewage pipe network, raise the number of people using natural gas, finish the improvement of water-purification factory; further improve the roadway illumination and lighting on buildings around roads and parks to make more places bright; further strengthen the construction of national garden city, stress the planting of arbors and bushes to finish the task of greening open ground of 1200000 square meters; with all these steps, the quality of the city will be upgraded greatly.
