The Tai’an tourism development zone and Guangdong Huanghe Industrial Group signed an agreement on Nov 1 to build a 80-billion-yuan Chinese cultural park in Tai'an, Shandong province.
Covering a total area of 153 hectares in Tai’an’s tourism development zone, the park will be a set location for films and television shows about or feature traditional Chinese culture and will have interactive areas depicting life in 12 Chinese dynasties, five-star hotels and other supporting facilities.
The first-phase of project is scheduled to be started in April 2011. When it is completed in 2013, the project is expected to provide 15000 jobs and generate more than 200 million yuan in tax annually.
