Picturesque Qingdao in the fall

In the selection of “China’s 10 Best Tourist Destinations”, an activity organized by the C-trip website, Qingdao in Shandong province ranked No 8 as of Nov 9.

The activity started on Oct 15 and will last until Nov 30. After nearly 30 days of voting, Qingdao had received 12,259 votes, exceeding those of Dalian (10,445) and Xiamen (11,719).

As a famous coastal tourist resort, Qingdao is regarded as the “Eastern Switzerland” of China. In recent years, Qingdao has been devoting more efforts to tourist development and market expansion. Several tourist projects have been completed and are starting to welcome tourists. Qingdao also has been focusing on vacation tours, with many luxury hotels now in the city. Self-driving travel and suburban tours have added momentum to the city’s tourism industry.
