Now, without having to travel there, travelers can view the 720-degree panorama of China’s famous Taishan Mountain, thanks to the Taishan Digital Program.

When people go to the Internet website, www.mount-tai.com.cn/720, they can "see” Taishan Mountain and also click on icons to view different parts of the mountain.

Viewers can zoom in on scenery, and also view pictures from different angles.

Song Lei, chief at the information center of the Taishan Mountain scenic zone, said the 720-degree panorama of Taishan was developed by the information center. After two months, they finished panoramas of seven scenic spots. “At least seven photographs have to be taken to make a panorama,” Song said.

"As a new promotion, the three-dimensional visual panorama enables travelers to have the experience of a Taishan trip at home,” said Song.

The technology solved the problem of lacking enough guides or video introductions, offering travelers more alternatives to view the grand natural beauty of Taishan Mountain.

"We will launch more visual panoramas of scenic spots on Taishan Mountain in the future,” Song said.
