Output of 52 industry clusters accounts for half of Qingdao's industrial output
2014-02-13

The Qingdao Municipal Overseas Investment Promotion Bureau recently said that the output of 52 industry clusters in 2013 accounted for 50 percent of the city's whole industrial output, and the output value reached 800 billion yuan.

The bureau also said that the industrial output of 20 industrial parks in the city exceeded 10-billion yuan and the industries showed an increase in agglomeration of five percent compared with the previous year.

The output value of four administrative counties - Jiaozhou, Pingdu, Laixi, Jimo and Huangdao Economic and Development Area - accounted for 53 percent of Qingdao’s industrial output.

Qingdao has followed the three-tier model of industrial standardization, and boasts five new state-level industrialization demonstration bases, five provincial-level bases and 11 municipal-level bases – and the city thus has the most industrial bases of any city in Shandong province.
