The 2014 World 3D Printing Technology Industry Conference will be held at the Qingdao Shangri-La Hotel on June 20-21.
The event is being co-organized by the World 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance, the China 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance, the Asian Manufacturing Association and the Qingdao municipal government.
More than 1,200 experts and entrepreneurs in the 3D printing industry from over 10 countries and regions will attend the meeting, at which more than 20 symposiums and dialogs will be held.
Industry experts and representatives will have discussions about applications of the 3D printing technology in such fields as industrial design, biomedicine, cultural and creative industry and architecture, among others. They will also explore business models and materials for 3D printing, as well as industrialization of the technology.
Meanwhile, the 2014 World 3D Printing Technology Industry Exhibition will open on June 19-22 at the Qingdao International Conference Center in the eastern Chinese coastal city, where some 100 enterprises will display their products. Visitors to the exhibition are welcome to a 3D printing experience activity and a 3D printing fashion show.
Luo Jun, secretary-general of the World 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance and executive chairman of the China 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance, said 3D printing technology is relatively mature in the fields of industrial design, biomedicine and the cultural and creative industries, but that it also has implications for many other industries.
Qingdao had solid technological and industrial foundations for 3D printing as well as an international vision, he said. |
