The Hong Kong Week kicks off on June 27 at the International Horticultural Exposition 2014 Qingdao. Art groups from Hong Kong brought wonderful performances to the opening ceremony.
Themed on "Art into daily life", performances in Hong Kong Week are being divided into five parts: string music, acappella, pop music, tap dance and rock music.
Yang Limen, Permanent Secretary of Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau attended the ceremony and watched the show. After the opening ceremony, he visited Hong Kong Garden accompanied by Li Fengli, deputy-secretary-general of the Expo executive committee.
"Qingdao is just like Hong Kong. It is a coastal city with many high hills, and it makes me feel at home. This is my second visit to Qingdao, and my first visit to the Qingdao expo, which is in my opinion the best horticultural expo ever," said Yang.
The Hong Kong Week performance will last from June 27 to July 1 at the International Garden. |
