Li Qun, Party secretary of Qingdao municipal government, met with a number of film executives from around the world on Oct 7 in Qingdao, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province.
With its time-honored history of cinematography, Qingdao is considered an ideal place for filming due to its favorable natural environment and historical and cultural sights, said Li. He added that the municipal government had announced preferential policies on film and TV production and hoped that they could cooperate with famous film producers and corporations from both home and abroad.
Film executives such as David Glasser, COO of the acclaimed Weinstein Company LLC and Mitchell Dauterive, vice president of Universal Pictures, came to Qingdao to attend the global summit, which was staged by property and entertainment conglomerate Wanda Group on Oct 8. |
