The city of Linyi’s 2014 China (Linyi) International Sourcing Fair, on Oct 18, in Shandong province, whose purpose was to promote cooperation between Chinese suppliers and overseas purchasers, had some real success with 200 domestic and 600 foreign companies taking part.
Yao Ming, head of Linyi's Trade City Administration, explained that this was the third fair with the goal of expanding Linyi Trade City's market. The Trade City is China’s largest market cluster, with 100 wholesale markets, with 69,000 shops in all provinces and regions across the country. Its products cover every aspect of our lives and sell in about two dozen countries.
And, thanks to a pilot reform project in provincial foreign trade in 2013, the Trade City's foreign trade has grown tremendously and is worth 209.62 billion yuan ($34.26 billion) at the same year.
And, it has been developing its e-commerce business by building an e-commerce venture park for cross-border businesses.
