Mannheim String Quartet from Mannheim, a city in Southwestern Germany, will put on various performances at the Qingdao Grand Theater on March 19, the Chinese-language Qingdao Daily reported on Feb 28.
The quartet consists of two violinists, one violist and one cellist. It will play a string of world-famous classics during its visit in Qingdao.
Ticket prices range from 30 yuan ($4.8) to 100 yuan ($16).
Set up in 1975, the Mannheim String Quartet was deeply influenced by the works of Mozart. The quarter has gained reputation through many music festivals it attended, such as Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and Berlin Music Week. In addition, it won many classic music awards, including prominent Echo Klassik music award and German Record Critics Award. |
