The smash-hit musical Alice's Adventure in Wonderland will hit the stage at Qingdao Grand Theater in the city of Qingdao, Shandong province on March 28, according to the Chinese-language Qingdao Daily.

Based on British writer Lewis Carroll's novel, Alice's Adventure in Wonderland depicts a peculiar experience of a little girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole to end up in a fairy tale.

Besides the peculiar plot, the musical version of "Alice" is expected to offer local audience a visually-rich experience with its special effects and stage set.

Most of the music for the performance has been newly composed for the musical version, including the theme song of Brave Dream recorded by German Radio Orchestra.

The musical will be directed by Suzanne Goyette from Canada . Visual Director Tao Kai worked at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2015 Spring Festival Gala of China Central Television.

Ticket prices range from 120 yuan ($19) to 380 yuan ($61).
