Argentina's Tenaris, a world leading supplier of tubes and related services for the energy industry and some other industrial applications, plans to make a total investment of $15 million in an auto parts project in Qingdao.
The facility will be located in the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone.
In the initial phase, Tenaris will invest $5 million in the construction of 3,000 square meters of factory buildings, which are expected to be up and running by the end of this year.
In 2004, Tenaris set up a wholly-owned tube subsidiary in Qingdao's Development Zone, supplying tubes and services for some of the most complicated projects of major oil and gas companies in China and the world. |
