The 2015 Tai'an– Hong Kong Exchange Fair was held in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, on May 28. Zhou Guiping, the deputy mayor of Tai'an, was among the attendees of the event.

As of April of this year, there has been a 365 percent annual increase in contracted foreign capital and a 49.5 percent increase in new accounts, demonstrating the great potential and broad prospects of cooperation between Tai’an and Hong Kong.
Speaking at the fair, Zhou Guiping said, "Since China's reform and opening up, Tai'an has constantly deepened exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong in various fields. Now there is a large amount of Hong Kong-funded enterprises choosing to invest in Tai’an and open to the mainland market."
Tai'an hopes to promote more advanced operations with Hong Kong, both in economic and technical fields. Zhou Guiping added that in the future, Tai'an will pursue sincere cooperation and friendship, according to the principle of mutual benefit, to create a positive development environment and provide convenience for enterprises and talents in Tai’an.
