The official tourism website of the city of Yantai in Shandong province was honored as the "Best Tourism Website of TPO" at the 7th General Assembly of Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) for Asia Pacific Cities on May 27-30.

Yantai's tourism website, http://www.ytta.gov.cn/, contains comprehensive information on tourism activities, scenic spots, hotels, travel agencies, travel guides and government information.

During the meeting, tourism authorities met representatives from Pusan and Daejeon in South Korea. They exchanged views on accelerating the construction of the China-South Korea Industrial Park in Yantai. The tourism authorities plan to visit South Korea in June to enhance mutual tourism cooperation.

The general assembly was held in the popular honeymoon destination of Sanya in South China's Hainan province. It attracted more than 100 representatives from 10 cities in the Asia Pacific region, ranging from the government to tourism bureaus, hotels and travel agencies. It aimed to enhance communication and cooperation among Asia Pacific cities and explore new development models for the tourism industry.
