Come September and running enthusiasts will have a date with half marathon, which is scheduled to be held on September 12 in Changdao, an island county in Yantai, Shandong Province, informed an organizer

Along with half, there will also be a short marathon on the occasion, adding it.

The 2015 Changdao Half Marathon will kick off on 3 pm at Changdao's Mingzhu square, featuring a 21-km half marathon and a 6-km short marathon. The half marathon will have a limit of 1,000 runners and the short race will give out 500 quotas. Top five winners will receive trophies and bonuses ranging from 200 yuan to 3,000 yuan ($489.49).

Participants will run along the island's coastline. The event aims to help runners enjoy both Changdao's scenery and the fun of running.
