Qingdao, a coastal city of East China's Shandong province, will hold the first World Internet+Industry Conference from Oct 15 to 16.

The conference, to be co-hosted by the Qingdao government and the Economic Daily Press, aims to discuss issues concerning smart industry development, business mode innovation and industrial integration.
The participants will include Joe Salvo, president of the US Industrial Internet Consortium business, Lothar Herrmann, vice-chairman of Simens, Zhang Ruimin, chairman of the Qingdao-based Haier Group and other business leaders and experts from home and abroad.
The two-day event will see a summit, a keynote speech, a workshop and a publicity and display campaign being held to serve as a platform for participants to exchange views and seek mutual cooperation.
