A watercolor painting exhibition will start in the art museum of Yantai city, Shandong province on Oct 24, informed an official from organizing body.

As the first of its kind in Yantai, the event will display 120 artworks of 74 painters, which will show the local watercolor painting art and promote the development of Yantai's watercolor painting.

Themed as "review and outlook," the exhibition will feature two parts of paintings- the works that old painters created in the 40s and 50s and those painted by young artists, in an attempt to present Yantai's watercolor painting art in an all-round way.

During the exhibition, the organizing committee will also hold a watercolor painting forum and a lecture to better preserve and promote the art.
