The 2015 Mount Tai International Marathon was held on Oct 18 in the city of Tai'an, Shandong province and a total of 15,658 athletes participated in the day-long event.

According to the organizing committee, world class marathon athletes from 18 countries and regions including German, France, South Korea, Japan, Ireland, Malaysia, Kenya, Angola, Albania, New Zealand, and Greece, 30 provinces and autonomous regions in China as well as those who come from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao took part in the event.
