The Dagu River Museum in Jiaozhou, Shandong province, has recently completed construction of its main building and is scheduled for pilot operation in May, the Qingdao Daily reported on Jan 15.

The whole project, covering a total floor area of 21,000 square meters, consists of a main exhibition center, pavilions featuring sci-tech exhibits, cultural exchange, Jiaozhou history and a tourist center.
The main exhibition center will house more than 3,000 exhibits including various cultural relics and historical documents, which will give an all-round display of the Dagu River from its eco-system, place in civilization and local customs, according to the museum's officials.
