The China National Arts Fund recently released a report placing Shandong province in third place in terms of the number of art projects awarded by the fund in 2015.

Shandong ranked third, only behind such cities as Beijing and Shanghai.

According to the report, 35 art projects from Shandong province won grants from the fund, representing a 220 percent increase over last year. The grants totaled 29.8 million yuan ($4.69 million), up 270 percent compared to last year.
