Shandong city to have a center of Sino-Russian tech transfer
As a major move by China and Russia, a Sino-Russian international technology transfer center will be established in Yantai, Shandong province.
The management committee of Yantai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (YTHT) signed an agreement with Russia's Don State Technical University on Nov 30 to set up a Sino-Russian international technology transfer center in YTHT.
A government official said that the center will concentrate on emerging strategic industries and high-end industries and will be a showcase of China and Russia's advanced technologies.
In addition to acting as a hub of international cooperation and technology transfer, it will boost China's industry advancement and technological innovation.
The two sides will also hold exhibitions and forums to jointly research on technological projects and promote their achievements, added the officer.
YTHT is a national high-tech industrial development zone, which has established partnership with more than 180 universities and research institutions around the world including countries of Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.
