A direct flight linking Qingdao and San Francisco is to come into service on Sept 29, marking the city's first direct route to the United States, cnr.cn reported.

Flight MU767, is to be operated by China Eastern Airlines using an Airbus A330. The flight will depart Qingdao every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1:00 pm Beijing time and land in San Francisco at 9:05 am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

The return flight will depart San Francisco every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:45 am EDT and arrive in Qingdao the following afternoon.

The direct route will help to boost connections between Qingdao and San Francisco.
