Oil painting exhibition of coastal views opens in Shandong
The Coast View Wang Mingqiang Marine Oil Painting Exhibition opened on Oct 15 at the Shandong Art Museum, as part of events to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the foundation of Shandong University.
Some 60 oil paintings, all produced by Wang Mingqiang, an arts professor at Shandong University, are on display.
The paintings all feature ocean views, embodying the daily lives of people living in coastal communities, while also showcasing the beauty of nature.
Jointly organized by Shandong University, Shandong University of Arts, and Shandong Artists Association, the exhibition will last until Oct 25.
Seminars on oil paintings featuring coastal communities will also take place during the exhibition, attended by some 50 artists from across the country.
