Yuhuangding Park cultural event educates youth
Kids in Yanti won't be bored on weekends thanks to the launch of an intangible cultural heritage experience at Yuhuangding Park.
The event opened on Nov 12, promising to entertain as well as educate the younger generation.
Each weekend kids are invited to try traditional Chinese handicrafts such as paper cutting, making clay and dough figurines and Chinese knotting under the guidance of folk artists at Yuhuangding Park.
According to the management committee of Yuhuangding Park, the event was set up to engender and develop an interest in the younger generation for China's excellent traditional culture. It is hoped that through enriched learning methods and content, children may better preserve their traditional cultural legacy.
