The Chinese Mencius Research Institute inked a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shandong Education Television Station (SDETV) on March 23 in Zoucheng county, the birthplace of the ancient Chinese philosopher Mencius, to work together to carry forward traditional culture.

More than 30 distinguished guests from the institute, the SDETV, local government cultural departments and organizations and media outlets took part in the signing ceremony.

As the only provincial satellite TV featuring education in China, SDETV has strong resource and transmission advantages. According to the agreement, the two sides will share educational and academic resources about Chinese classics and strengthen cooperation in promotion of traditional cultural activities and related TV program production.

The two sides will soon roll out a television campaign highlighting the Confucian classic Mencius. More programs interpreting Confucianism and presented by renowned experts in traditional Chinese culture will be unveiled nationwide through the SDETV platform.
