Young Shandong artists' exhibition lights up Chongqing
A painting exhibition gathering works by rising stars in Shandong province's art world opened on July 30 at the Chongqing Art Museum in Chongqing, Southwest China.

Titled "Youth Responsibility", the exhibition was jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, the Shandong Artists Association and the Chongqing Artists Association.
The exhibition features a collection of 119 works including oil paintings, woodcut paintings, watercolors, sketches and traditional Chinese ink and brush paintings. It will run until August 13.

Pang Maokun, president of the Chongqing Artists Association and curator of the Chongqing Art Museum, spoke highly of the exhibition.
"The exhibition showcases this rising group of young Shandong artists that are creating paintings of an impressively high quality," said Pang.
Chongqing will be the first stop for this touring exhibition. The exhibition will help to promote mutual learning and communication between young artists from Shandong and Chongqing, and further enhance cultural cooperation between the two regions.
