Yantai student makers show off talents

Students from primary and secondary schools in Yantai, East China's Shandong province showcased their innovative spirit and creativity during the city's first Campus Makers Day held from Oct 27 to 29.
The event was hosted by Yantai education bureau and co-organized by Yantai TV, the education and sports administration in Yantai's economic and technological development zone, and Yantai Aihua Bilingual School.
Under the theme "Maker Education Kindles Creativity", the festival was aimed at presenting innovative works by pupils and junior high school students and promoting a spirit of innovation among the public.
The event featured an expert forum, presentation of maker education achievements and invention competitions.
It also provided a platform for 21 outstanding maker enterprises in Yantai to present their latest products. Students are offered a chance to experience for themselves the development of new technologies.
