The 2017 Penglai Wine Marathon held on Nov 12, in Shandong province, attracted more than 4,000 runners from across the country.

The activity consisted of four events: a marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km), a quarter marathon (10 km) and a mini marathon (5 km).

Runners could also take a sip of wine offered for free by the sponsor at the service stations along the route.
