Shandong delegation attends Hong Kong International Licensing Show
The Shandong delegation of cultural and creative sector took part in the world's second-largest and Asia's largest event of its kind, the 16th Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the 7th Asian Licensing Conference, which lasted from Jan 8 to 10.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the event was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, attracting more than 380 exhibitors from around the globe, gathering over 1,000 brands and licensed products.
The Shandong delegation was organized by the Shandong provincial department of culture and the Shandong Cultural Creative Design Industry Association, aiming to show the world a new dimension of the province's unique culture, increase exchanges with international counterparts in licensing business and cultural and creative industry, expand cultural trade and help replace the old growth drivers with new ones and improve people's livelihoods through making the cultural and creative industry an economic pillar.
The Shandong delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the Chinese mainland pavilion, both of which were held on Jan 8.
The Chinese mainland pavilion was organized by the country's Ministry of Culture. Covering an exhibition area of 570 square meters, it consisted of six group pavilions, featuring 134 enterprises, gathering renowned cultural, arts, animation and comics branded institutions, including the Palace Museum and the Fantawild Animation.
The Shandong pavilion received the participation of several Shandong-based companies and institutions, including the Shandong Art Museum, the Shandong University of Art & Design, and the Quanyun Lishan Cultural communication Co, displaying animation and comics, arts and cultural works.
The Shandong delegation also co-hosted a forum on Chinese mainland and Hong Kong cultural industry cooperation with the HKTDC and China's Ministry of Culture.
