Xi Jin is a fruit-pit carving craftsman who lives in the Dayu cultural village in Kuiwen district, Weifang city.
Xi's carvings are exquisite and cover a wide range of subjects. Since these carvings are completely hand-made, the price of each handicraft ranges from 30,000 yuan ($4,772) to 200,000 yuan.
Xi said he taught himself how to carve fruit-pits when he was young.

Fruit-pit carving has been included on Shandong's list of provincial intangible cultural heritages.
