Taierzhuang marks Cultural and Natural Heritage Day
An intangible cultural heritage celebration is in full swing in the Taierzhuang ancient town in Zaozhuang, East China's Shandong to mark this year's national Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.
Themed around "the exhibition and performance of Grand Canal intangible cultural heritage", the event, which lasts from June 9 to 18, is a cultural extravaganza of folk customs and traditional arts from major cities along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
Jointly organized by the Shandong provincial department of culture and the Zaozhuang municipal government, the event is a major part of Shandong's celebrations for China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day on June 9.
