The implementation plan for Shandong Cultural Consumption Season

The Shandong Cultural Consumption Season includes six sections of activities that will be carried out online and offline in 17 cities to attract all people to participate, jointly sharing cultural resources and enjoying a feast of culture.

Six sections of activities

1. Arts appreciation.

Various cultural performances will be held across the province, including movie and television plays, traditional Chinese operas, concerts and acrobatics. We will hold a number of outstanding drama performances, including a public film screening month, themed film screenings, Shandong opera performances, National Art Fund repertoire tour and excellent drama shows.

2. Fashion gathering.

We will gather well-known domestic and foreign design enterprises, famous national cultural brands in China, and cultural and creative products to explore the customization of cultural and creative products. We will hold a series of cultural and creative activities such as products exhibitions, fairs, the first urban tourism creative design competition, a Shandong products design competition and a Shandong animation creative design competition.

3.Cultural tourism.

We will integrate the province's cultural tourism resources, presenting 10 routes for cultural tourist destinations. We will develop special cultural tourism routes for school students. We will hold a series of themed cultural tours including ones on village culture, ocean culture, red culture, canal culture, Water Margin culture and traditional culture. We will host activities such as village tours for local residents, summer tours for parents and children,the Taishan Mountain International Climbing Festival and the 3rd coastal cycling competition.

4. Traditional craft experience.

We will hold a series of activities to give people valuable experience, including sales exhibitions of traditional handicrafts, performances of intangible cultural heritage, promotions for traditional Chinese medicine and exhibitions of ceramics, inkstone, agilawood and cooking.

5. Digital culture experiences.

We will carry out special activities in digital culture and online shopping in the fields of cultural e-commerce, internet audio-visual programs, digital publishing, online tourism, online education and animation displays. We will hold activities in animation game trading, onsite cosplay and sales exhibitions of animation derivatives.

6.Cultural awareness promotion.

We will organize activities to raise people's cultural awareness including lectures on culture and art, salons, forums, fine arts exhibitions, new book releases, writers' lectures, a best-selling books fair, a poetry contest and leisure activities. We will use public cultural venues at all levels for national classics recitations, etiquette training and poetry appreciation.

We will hold a forum on cultural consumption, another on assessing intangible assets of cultural enterprises and cultural industry development, Nishan academy's open class on sinology, traditional Chinese opera tours to universities and a poetry recitation contest for primary and secondary school students.
