One of the world's leading ice skating production companies, the Imperial Ice Stars from Britain will perform its award-winning masterpiece Swan Lake on Ice at the Shandong Grand Theater from Aug 10 to 12 in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

Based on the original story and music, Swan Lake on Ice combines ballet with ice dance. Moreover, the scenery onstage is designed by Eamon D'arcy, the art designer of the opening ceremony of Sydney Olympic Games, achieving the best visual effects with the help of 110 sets of exquisite costumes, dazzling light effects, and the performers' highly-skillful actions.

The Imperial Ice Stars was formed in July 2004 as a joint venture between two leading producers of live entertainment, Tony Mercer and James Cundall, and businessman and former speed skater Vladislav Olenin.

It has won five-star praise from audiences and critics alike, and it has been performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues – the London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall, Singapore's Esplanade Theatre, Montreal's Place des Arts and Cape Town's Artscape.

Since its first worldwide tour in 2006, the Imperial Ice stars has toured more than 30 countries and received standing ovations everywhere.
