The Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism recently unveiled the awarding-winning photography of the annual Shandong Cultural Consumption Season event.

Selected through a contest, the photos captured moments during the three-month-long arts and cultural extravaganza across Shandong’s 17 cities.

Usually lasting from July to October, the annual cultural consumption season hosts hundreds of cultural performances, lectures, exhibitions and special offers to boost the local cultural industry's development, foster cultural consumption amongst local residents and drive growth in the local economy.
